Hi, 

I've always been syncing my devices with Mobilesheets on it with my Mac as a 'base'. Also I'm always added scores etc there en then replicate to my iPad and Windows PC on my organ.

Since 2 updates, I cannot do this anymore due to the fact that when I do following actions:

- Sync Library
- Synchronize with another device
- Connect as server
  --> there 'Create Server'
  --> there I don't get an IP-address anymore, bud just "hh:mms - IP:"

No other error messages, no error messages in any log on the Mac neither ....

I've already removed EVERYTHING from Mobilesheets (as well binary as containers as ... ) and reinstalled everything, but this doesn't solve my problem.

Can somebody help me out please?

Do you have multiple types of network connections that could be causing issues with the IP detection? For example, do you have multiple ethernet inputs on the device? Or do you have IPv4 connections disabled? MobileSheets needs an IPv4 address, so I want to verify this.

Hi Mike, 

I do have 3 ethernet connections:
- Internal 1Gb - Not used
- via USB 2.5 Gb - Used since a few weeks ...
- WiFi

I will have a look this evening (I'm at work now), but I think IPV4 is enable by default on all of them.
It's true that I've added the 2.5Gb interface over USB a few weeks ago, I will also try to remove to see what happens.

Are there specific requirements other then IPV4 Mike?

I confirm: it's linked to the NIC.

If I remove the 2.5Gb adapter (or disable) en connect through the 1Gb Connector or WiFi, then it works.

I'm puzzled: I cannot find any difference other then speed.

Do you have anything you want me to do to solve this further?

I'm guessing there may be an issue with having multiple ethernet connections or network adapters, and MobileSheets is picking the wrong one. I'm not sure how else to explain what you are seeing. If you disable the 1gb connector and use the 2.5 gb one, does that then work? Or do you run into the same issue?

Disabling the 1Gb connector doesn't work. Still the same result.

I'm not seeing anything obvious. I believe I have a USB to ethernet adapter that I can try testing with to see if I can reproduce the problem, but I don't believe it's a 2.5 GB one.

Hi Mike, 
I'm quite sure now: Mobilesheets doesn't work with USB NIC's, it works fine with normal NICS.
I hope you can reproduce it.
I know now how to bypass the issue, but happy to try if you want to debug the problem.
