I'm loving Mobilesheets for solo performing. However I cannot connect two ipads for band performances in leader/follower mode.
* Bluetooth: both iPads just keep searching. Note that when checking ipad bluetooth settings, neither iPad can pair with the other. They are different generation/different OS version ipads. In bluetooth settings 'other devices' it also says "iPad" is not supported for the other iPad.
* We have a local wifi at gigs so I thought I'd try wifi sharing on my home wifi first to make sure it works. But when I setup the first iPad as New Leader, the second iPad has 'Join group' greyed out and I can't see another way to connect them.
Connecting two iPads by bluetooth or wifi looks like a supported feature, so I must be missing something?
It must be an issue of compatibility that Apple introduced between certain iOS versions when it comes to bluetooth. WiFi definitely should work though. Just make sure that both devices have a valid WiFi connection, make sure the connection type is set to "WiFi" on the "Connect Devices" dialog, tap "Disconnect" if needed, and then you should be able to join the group. You can also select "Direct Connect" and just type in the IP address of the leader device to connect to it directly if needed.

I tend to agree about the bluetooth incompatibility between different iPad versions. Here's the WiFi issue:
* Both iPads definitely have wifi access to the same network
* Both set to Connect Using WiFi
* On the iPad I wish to be the leader, I click "New Leader" and provide a Group Name.
* On the 2nd iPad that I wish to be the follower, the only clickable options are New Leader, Settings, Direct Connect, and Connect with last used settings. Join Group is greyed out.
* I tried Direct Connect on the 2nd follower iPad, entered the IP address of the Leader iPad, clicked OK, and nothing changed. Join Group is still greyed out.
Just wondering too, can I connect the iPads to each other with an ethernet cable and use MS in a Leader/Follwer mode this way?
I don't think that will work (generally a router is needed to sit between the devices). It would be very helpful if you can use your phone as a wifi hotspot and connect the ipads to that. If you can then connect the devices, the router is the problem and it's blocking the TCP connection between the devices.

I am unable to to connect two iPads using bluetooth. Both are the same model (iPad Pro M5 13 inch) and OS version as well as MobileSheets version and libraries are synched. I need to have two pages of music displayed, one on each iPad, at a time. It works for a WiFi connection, but not for bluetooth. I will not always have WiFi available at venues. Please provide a solution for this issue.
What error do you encounter while trying to connect the devices? One thing that can help is, first create the group on the leader device without loading up the "Connect Tablets" dialog. Then after that is created, then bring up the dialog on the second device. It should start scanning to detect the other device. Do you see it show up? Or does the list of detected devices/groups stay empty? Did you make sure to enable the permission to allow MobileSheets to detect nearby devices? If you don't grant that permission, it may not be able to see the other tablet over Bluetooth.

I have assured that MobileSheets is allowed to access bluetooth on both devices. I have done as you requested and still cannot establish a bluetooth connection. The second (follower) iPad displays the first iPad's name under Device Groups, but the Join Group button remains greyed out. The displayed iPad name is the original name of the iPad before I changed it within the iPad settings. Even after I changed the name back to the original, it still does not connect. The first iPad (leader) never displays the second iPad's name under Connected Followers, but does allow the Disconnect button to be utilized. The Disconnect button in Manage Device Connections on the second (follower) iPad remains greyed out when going back into that screen. Is it possible that the iPads do not connect because the Leader's device name is not being displayed correctly? It seems that the original device name is stored in MobileSheets, or is being picked up incorrectly.
You have to actually tap the group name in order to tap "Join Group". You can't click Join Group if no group is selected. So that seems to be the issue here (that you are not actually joining the group, so no connection is made).

I had previously done that without success. Since my last post, I uninstalled MobileSheets from my second tablet, shut it down, rebooted, reinstalled MobileSheets and synched the library. I am now able to connect both tablets. I'm not 100% sure what the problem was, but the uninstall/reinstall seemed to have fixed something. Thank you for the assistance.
