Crash on iPad Pro 12 2019 model after restore from .msb plus thanks

To add to this message sent earlier. I just reported a black screen crash I couldn’t exit without closing app when restoring from a backup made on a fire android device. However when I tried a second time the One drive back up restored without issue.

Another point is I see in your credits you thank translators in various languages. Have you considered adding Welsh to this list? This would be very well welcomed in Welsh community. Over half my music pupils are first language Welsh , probably 70%. Music in Welsh schools and colleges is more highly regarded from my experience than in English medium schools. Music is part of many Welsh speakers dna. I know the market isn’t huge but think I think offering a Welsh version would result in free advertising /kudos . Getting on Welsh news TV wouldn’t be so difficult. There are so few apps avail in Cymraeg . I’m sure grants are available from Welsh language board via Senedd . There’s certainly financial help out there if this is something you decided to peruse? I would offer myself but I’m a second language speaker and not good enough for tech translating of words. Just a thought…

Just wanted a say another huge thank you for getting the glitches sorted. . I haven’t tried the sync on latest build yet but crossing my toes. I can’t begin to tell you how much I dislike FORSCORE compared to my love of using Mobile Sheets.

Now wondering if I can use an android tablet as second screen to iPad Pro 12”?

If I was rich enough I’d buy another iPad but I’m a pro musician so not happening for a while at least. Anyway just wanted to give another round of appreciation for all your hard work giving musicians an app that is a dream to use . Also v reliable . On FORSCORE so easy to press wrong part of page and app closes mid performance- eek ….

Known issues with MobileSheets iOS beta version 1.0.0 (Build 9)

Build 9 has been released and I'm looking to make it the final build before the app is submitted to Apple for review. Testers are still encouraged to report any bugs that are found so that they can either be fixed before the app is submitted or for the first update after it is released. I made some important optimizations with processing image files in build 9 so users will find that rotating is considerably faster now, as well as cropping.

Known issues with MobileSheets iOS beta version 1.0.0 (Build 8)

Build 8 has been released with a huge number of really important fixes. A lot of issues with zooming were resolved, so it should now work properly with both the standard and HQ modes. Additionally, smart buttons and link points created on Android/Windows will now render in the correct locations, however any smart buttons and link points created in the iOS version may now be positioned incorrectly as a result. Text and Chord pro files were rendering at half the desired resolution before, which caused problems when moving annotations from Android/Windows. The WiFi MIDI feature will now automatically reconnect, and the icons on the buttons turn orange when a bluetooth or WiFi connection is active. I fixed every issue that was reported that I was able to reproduce with this build, so my hope is that the iOS version is nearing completion. I would love feedback from users if they believe build 8 is stable and bug-free enough for an official release on the Apple store.

This is the list of issues fixed with build 7, as well as any enhancements:

Enhanced zooming speed significantly (pages render faster and smoother in general as a result). The zooming will be fully fixed in build 8.
Implemented a separate drawing layer for new annotations. This allows writing to continue feeling smooth even if there are a hundred annotations already on the page, as only the drawing layer will refresh.
Fixed issue with keys and metronome beats not being populated correctly from the database
Added option to connect to MIDI devices over WiFi. Also added button to connect over bluetooth.
Fixed speed of hash calculations by a very significant amount (hundreds of times faster). This is very significant for library synchronization.
Added forced reload of the settings screen after restoring a library so that the new settings are shown properly before returning to the library screen
Fixed issue with printing and exporting image files where the image isn't scaled properly
Fixed issue where progress is reported incorrectly when uploading to Google Drive
Fixed issue where snippets embedded in PDFs would become corrupted after the PDF is saved
Changed all square buttons to have rounded corners for a more pleasing appearance

Known issues with MobileSheets iOS beta version 1.0.0 (Build 7)

Build 7 has been released with a huge number of bug fixes and some extremely important optimizations. Zooming is much, much faster and smoother now, as I redesigned some of the code for how the rendered images are displayed on the screen. Unfortunately, this has brought with it a few minor glitches while zooming that are going to be fixed with a follow-up build. There are also significant optimizations in regards to things like calculations of file hashes, which results in library synchronizations finishing hundreds of times faster than before. Annotationing should also be a little smoother now, especially on pages that have a large number of existing annotations on them. There are also important bug fixes for high memory usage during things like library syncs and syncs to backup files. While I tried to address every bug report, there are still a few issues remaining to be fixed, and issues that I will need assistance reproducing. My hope is that with a few more builds, the iOS version may be ready to be released, but I will want to get some user feedback to see if everyone agrees.

This is the list of known issues with build 7:

1) (FIXED) Smart buttons are not rendering as desired and size needs to be adjusted. Also need to confirm that buttons created on Android/Windows display in the correct position on the page.
2) (FIXED) Link points created on Android/Windows do not seem to be positioned in the correct place.
3) (FIXED) The thumbnails for stamp annotations in the favorites window are too small
4) (FIXED) The audio player track list (shown in layout 3) will not respond to taps to change the track unless you drag the list up or down first, and then tap.
5) (FIXED) After finishing a zoom gesture, the page will jump and reposition in an odd way. There are also flashes of a separate image that occur briefly after releasing the pinch gesture.
6) (FIXED) Cannot import multiple audio files at once when importing using Local File/Apple's file picker
7) (FIXED) WiFi MIDI connection will not automatically reconnect
8) (FIXED) Annotation edit popup does not show opacity or dashed option when editing highlight annotation.

Build 6 has been released with a fair number of bug fixes. I wanted to get this build out sooner to address some of the obvious problems and crashes so I don't get a lot of duplicate reports. I'm also investigating linking issues with the Genos and PSR-SX keyboards, and wanted to release some changes so that they could be tested sooner. I'm still going through all of the bug reports and will need to follow up with users, as I'm unable to reproduce a fair number of them.

This is the list of known issues with build 5:

1) The "Quality" PDF library has been added back, but despite 7 hours of attempts to fix the issue with the weird green distortion of images with colored PDFs, I was unable to fix the issue. Something very weird is happening in the PDF library, but it's going to be extremely difficult to determine. I have made the Speed PDF library the default library, and even changed the configuration entry for "Render Preference" to ensure all users start with the speed library. I have left the "Quality" PDF library for users that want the very minor image quality improvements in case that library works fine with their PDFs. I may revisit this once I have more time/bandwidth, but for now, it's at the bottom of the priority list.
2) (FIXED) The MIDI listen dialog does not create a batch MIDI command when the + icon is tapped
3) Zooming gets progressively slower the more you zoom in. I'm going to try to address this, but it's going to be difficult. I am going to see if I can increase the rendering speed by only rendering the parts of the image that are actually visible on the screen (which is more difficult than it sounds when you take into account zooming, cropping, rotation, different coordinate systems and display scaling, etc).

Companion app version 3.1.8 has also been released as I've added some fixes that should help with library restores not finishing after 100% (which will also help the Android and Windows versions).

Fixed handilng of importing from local file system as well as from iCloud. Direct file access is now used instead of having the OS make a copy of every selected file. This allows the last selected folder to be used when importing from inside the MobileSheets folder. The last selected folder cannot be saved/restored when accessing folders outside the MobileSheets folder or in the iCloud due to file permissions in iOS. This can not be made any better unfortunatley. The direct file access approach may also cause failures when importing from some third party apps like Owlfile when connected to remote storage like a NAS, as the path to the file is given to MobileSheets before the file has actually been downloaded and made available (with larger files like library backups, MobileSheets will try to access it and will get a "file does not exist" error).

Known issues with MobileSheets iOS beta version 1.0.0 (Build 4)

Build 4 has been released, and with it a huge number of bug fixes. A link is provided below to the full list of fixed issues with build 4. If I haven't addressed your bug report yet, know that I'm working through them all and will get to it for the next build. I just wanted to get build 4 out to address some common crashes that users are seeing.

This is the list of known issues with build 4:

1) With some PDFs, users were encountering weird discoloration issues. This was happening with the default PDF library (Settings->Display Settings->Render Preference->Quality). Until this issue is addressed, MobileSheets will always use the "Speed" render preference (which is a separate PDF library) regardless of what is selected in the settings. This has not been an easy issue to fix, so this was done to prevent issues while I look into it.
2) The MIDI listen dialog does not create a batch MIDI command when the + icon is tapped
3) When synchronizing to OneDrive, a login request is brought up, and then a second login request is brought up when the sync is started. I seem to be unable to accurately reproduce this issue, but will continue to investigate it.
4) One user reported a sync to a OneDrive folder got stuck at 12%
5) One user reported the "Next up song bar" was not displayed correctly when set to "On the last page before next song".
6) Backup restores from Google Drive and Dropbox failed for some users. Need to determine the cause as it has worked so far for me.
7) Zooming in on PDFs was reported as being "jerky"
8) .svg files do not render the same as on Android and Windows
9) Share->Share Files is not displaying the share popup
10) Dialog buttons are overlapping in some languages.
11) Snippet creation not working properly
12) (FIXED) Alphabet letters showing up incorrectly for groups and tapping a letter causes a crash
13) Users are experiencing issues restoring/synchronizing large libraries. Additional investigation is needed along with a way to reliably reproduce problems.
14) Song format dialog allows format string fields to expand past the edge of the dialog
15) Smart buttons are not rendering as desired and size needs to be adjusted
16) Smart button dialog is incorrectly showing file selection when displayed, MIDI list has no border and actually extends too far down
17) (FIXED) Orientation lock does not work properly (both the per song lock and the Force Orientation setting under Display Settings)

Sudden Crash when updating Meta Data and other Meta stuff

Hi all! Excited to be working on this with Mike and everyone!

(iPad Pro 2021 12.9" 1Tb)

App Crash - here's how it happened.

- I imported several PDFs from the same dropbox folder.
- Created a new collection for them to go into
- went to click on another meta field
- app crashed

When I went to recreate it - the new collection name was still there, but the PDFs did not upload

Tried to recreate it
- This time I selected the first collection name
- I was in genre selection and trying to add a new genre
- app crashed while I was typing out the new genre.

Other meta stuff:

- If I select the down arrow at the end of the line and click on already created _____ - eg collections, it will not show up
- the only way for it to actually engage is to type out the name you want and click on it as it pops up

Reported through FlightTest, but I was able [finally] to connect my PEDPro and can see events occurring in MS, but no actions when I try to scroll [or jump to bookmark with left ‘Pedal’]. I tried mode 2 last night, but even though I was able to define actions in settings, nothing happened in my displayed music. In mode 1 I was unable to define actions.
