CSVFile for Creole Jazz Band Fakebook 2025
A great collection of traditional jazz tunes that are out of copyright in the USA.
Very good readability on the tablet.
C, Bb, Eb and Bass Clef versions are available

CSV files for previous versions are available in the forum, just search for "Creole".
I strongly recommend using the latest version as more songs go out of copyright every year and many of them are added.

Volunteers wanted !
We plan to provide an additional ABC version for the upcoming Creole Jazz Band Fakebook 2026 edition.
The tunes are available in Sibelius' .SIB format. They can be exported as MusicXML and Michael Eskin's "ABC Transcription Tools" are doing a great job for converting MusicXML to ABC. Nevertheless there's a lot of correcting, proof-reading and fine-tuning work left.
We're still looking for some volunteers who are willing to invest some of their freetime so that we can share the effort.
A good start could be completing and correcting the "composers" column of one of the attached CSV files. I did not find the time yet to add composers to the tunes that were added in the 2025 edition. If you sort the CSV by index or startpage, the newly added tunes can be found at the end of the file.

The fakebook is available here:
https://www.simplyearlyjazz.com/store/p9...rsion.html

- new files are added to the end of the book so that the page sequence of the first part stays unchanged (sort the CSVs by column "PDFPage" if needed, MSP doesn't import that column)

The page sequence of all versions is identical, so the only difference between the CSV files for the C, Bb and Eb version are the key signatures in column "keys" and the instrument info in column "source types". The CSV file for the C version also applies to the Bass Clef versions.
The (also attached) bookmarks file for jPDFbookmarks works for all versions.

I enthusiastically imported a csv file and the matching pdf, or so I thought, but apparently it is messed up.
For instance the title All of Me opens the file of another tune called Always There.
Beautiful Love opens Birdfood.

I guess there's no way of somehow undoing the import other then manually checking every single file to delete the corrupted matches?

Hi, I'm a new Mobilesheets user.
I've read through quite a few posts of the forum and particularly on the csvfiles section and I have also read the import section of the Mobilesheets manual, but I can't find out how to do what I want.

I sing in a choir. We're rehearsing Bach's St Matthew Passion. The score for this is a 300 page pdf containing about 80 separate movements.
I want to import the pdf along with a list of bookmarks, eg
Bookmark1, Page 1
Bookmark 2, Page 5
Bookmark 3, Page 20
...
Bookmark 80, Page 299

The end result I am looking for is one song on Mobilesheets with 80 bookmarks.

I tried creating a simple test file. (See attached files: MyFirstCSV-PDF.csv and MyFirstCSV-PDF.pdf) The pdf has 4 pages and the csv file looks like this
Title;Pages;
Piece 1;1-3
Piece 2;4-4

I used the dialogue >Import > CSV or PDF Bookmarks > Navigated to my files on OneDrive > Selected the csv file. (I also tried the same but selecting the pdf file but that gives an error 'No bookmarks found')
This created 2 songs which is kind of what I expected having read other threads. I just want one song with two bookmarks.

My questions are:
1. Can you help me to import one big song with many bookmarks as described above?
2. If not, do I have to import my file and create 80 songs in a big setlist?
If I do that, can I scroll seamlessly throuigh the songs as if they were in a single 'book'? If the conductor says to start from page 200, will that page number exist in my setlist?

Thanks for any help, solutions or altermative approaches.

Paul Hardy maintains a songbook of mainly traditional Celtic and English songs from the British Isles and publishes updated versions every now and then.
Here's a CSV file for "Paul Hardy's Songs Tunebook 2025".
It contains a subset of songs from "Paul Hardy's Session Tunebook 2025" mentioned here https://zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/forum...14165.html with lyrics and some of them with several voices.
It matches the "one song per page" version https://pghardy.net/tunebooks/pgh_songs_..._paged.pdf
There have been recent fixes that affected also the page order, so please make sure you have the latest version dated 2025-11-02.

With the recently extended ABC feature of MobileSheets it might be a nice option to download the songbook in ABC format
https://pghardy.net/tunebooks/pgh_songs_tunebook.abc
split it into seperate ABC files as described here
https://zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/forum...14122.html
and use these

Or combine the advantages of both methods: get the full set of metada for a song by importing it using the CSV and afterwards replace the PDF with the song's ABC file to get the possibility to transpose on the fly. (Maybe just feasible for a small subset of songs. To do that for all 700+ songs in this book might be too tedious)
As I have a big database with ~40 000 entries listing for me relevant notes, I try to figure out how to import the different fields into MS.
So i struggle with the mapping of both database entries and also can't find how the CSV field names are named (and could renamed by me) in MS.
If custom up to five is possible, how can I find them in MS after Import?
Can I add new fields in MS and if so, how?

Best regards

Paul Hardy maintains several songbooks of mainly traditional Celtic and English songs from the British Isles and publishes updated versions every now and then.
Various versions are available, both as PDF and ABC, printed versions can be ordered. Great job, thank you Paul.

Here's a CSV file for "Paul Hardy's Session Tunebook 2024"
It matches the "one song per page" version https://pghardy.net/tunebooks/pgh_sessio..._paged.pdf

Several useful new things happened on Paul Hardy's site since I shared the last files (or I didn't notice it before):

"Paul Hardy's Parts Tunebook 2024" has been added that contains a small subset of songs with multiple voices.
My CSV also refers to the "one song per page" version https://pghardy.net/tunebooks/pgh_parts_..._paged.pdf

"Paul Hardy's Songs Tunebook" that contains songs with lyrics has been updated.
I did not create a CSV of the updated version by now. A CSV for the previous version is available here
https://www.zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/f...10632.html

As a Coronavirus lockdown project, tunes were recorded and provided here: https://pghardy.net/greenshoots/virtual/index.html

In ___pgh_tunebook_2024.xlsx I collected several details (MP3 filenames, incipits, availability in _songs / _parts, ...) from Paul's various lists to have them in one central file
