Since some time I the following issue:
After some random time, doing annotations, the screen changes when doing half page. Normally there is a blue line between the last half of the present page (below) and the half page of the next page (up), see attached image. This line disappears, so it is difficult to see where the page ends, but worse, the annotations that have been made are not stored, so I have to make them again. Any solution for that.

It also happens quite often that after a somewhat longer random time the touchscreen is not reacting anymore, so I can only turn pages with the pedal.
Any solutions?

I've just migrated from using MobileSheets on Chrome OS to a new Microsoft Surface Pro 11 on Windows ARM. For some reason zooming during annotation is lagging a lot and is causing a huge spike in RAM usage. Idling with a PDF open uses about 400MB; zooming in (but outside of annotation mode) goes up to 700-1000MB (but there is no noticeable lag); zooming in in annotation mode on a PDF with no annotations goes up to 1000MB; but when there are annotations, it spikes up to 3000 or even 4000MB ram, and there is a lot of lag. I've tried messing with the various display settings - using the GPU or not, render preference on speed or quality, changing whether highlights are drawn behind or not - they don't seem to make a difference. As of today (no updates, no change made) the app won't launch.
The splash screen appears briefly, but nothing happens.
Is anyone else expierencing this, or does anyone have an idea what I can do.

I`ve tried all the fixes I can find to no avail. Win 10 is up to date, micro soft store is up tp date, uninstalled and reinstalled MS x3.cleared all the caches, troubleshooters reporting all OK. Tried changing Store accounts.

I'm still having some problems with annotation causing crashes. I have crash reports on, I've just had one at 10:02am GMT 22/07/2026.

It's a Surface Pro 11 (details at bottom of message), I've got GPU off for the annotation editor (I've experimented with it on but sometimes annotations don't show at all or on intermittend pages when it's turned on). I do add quite a lot of annotations to my scores although only in a single layer, and it means that Mobilesheets is much less reliable then I would like it to be - it crashes sometimes when exiting annotation mode, and occasionally in performance mode when I turn a page it will just go to the loading ring and I have to go out of the score and back into it, and sometimes have to reload Mobilesheets entirely. In addition if I go to rearrange pages it sometimes struggles to display all of the pages within that dialogue. I always do a full restart before each concert and so far it's been fine but I do find it stressful that it seems to be less stable on this device than on previous Surfaces. 

If there's anything else I can do to help it be more stable that would be great!

Using a Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 and MobileSheets ver. 3.9.41 I have an constant but detail-changing problems with annotations on layers.

I've got one 3-page score in MobileSheets.

I've added 6 layers, but the following problems started with layer 2 and continues with the various layers added later.

Start a new MobileSheets session, open the only song/piece in MobileSheets, and then click on a layer to select it and make it visible.  After this point, the problems are not always the same BUT they are some variation of the below--MobileSheets annotations has never functioned "properly" for a complete session (it feels like 10-12 sessions have gone this way).

Example Session 1

I click on layer "Red Yellow Green" with highlighting and click it visible with no other layers visible.  There is highlighting marked on all 3 pages, but page 2 shows no highlighting BUT there's a "Highlight 1" sub-item on the page--if I click on checkbox for that "Highlight 1" sub-item a blue-dotted selection box around what would be the highlighting but with no highlighting showing.

Example Session 2

With a new MobileSheets session, open the only song/piece in MobileSheets.

Selecting layer "Fingering Pedaling" layer with pen annotations and making it visible with no other visible layers, then clicking through the 3 pages shows the highlighting from layer "Red Yellow Green" still visible on page 2 while "Red Yellow Green" continues NOT supposedly being visible.  Clicking forward and backward through the pages continues to show the page 2 highlighting from layer "Red Yellow Green" with the visible.

I've tried test variations of the problem with the layers and sometimes a similar but different problem will happen.

I do have Settings &t Draw highlights behind content checked, but when it isn't checked I can't read what's under the highlighting.

I recently upgraded to a new Surface Pro 12 and reinstalled MobileSheets. I am using version 3.9.41. The installation is fresh, but the Face Gesture Settings option is completely missing from the Settings menu.
I have already:

• Enabled camera access in Windows Privacy settings
  
• Enabled “Let desktop apps access your camera”
  
• Restarted MobileSheets and the Surface
  
• Reinstalled MobileSheets
  

The Surface front camera is working normally in Windows.
Could you please advise why the Face Gesture option is not appearing? Is there any compatibility issue with Surface Pro 12 or a setting I need to enable?

But the old custom software supported half-page turns, with a timed automatic completion of the rest of the page turn. I triggered page turns with a Roland sustain pedal and a little Arduino board to simulate a single PageDown keyboard action. The pedal still works for full page turns in MobileSheets, but requires a second press to complete a half-page turn. I think others have requested this feature but it doesn't appear in MobileSheets (Windows) to the best of my knowledge. Couldn't find it in any of the commercial Bluetooth page turn pedals either.  

Problem: my dear wife, an 80-year-old retired professional opera singer and self-accompanying pianist, is firmly conditioned to the half-page turn with automatic completion. She really hated the loss of this feature and resisted migration to MobileSheets despite all the other nice features. I don't blame her -- she's has been simultaneously sight-reading 3 staves of music, singing, playing, and pedaling once at the end of each page for over 20 years. 

So I updated the Arduino board and firmware in my DIY pedal (photo attached). It uses Bluetooth, the cable is just for power. (I didn't bother making it battery-powered but that would be possible.) It has two modes: "simple" where the pedal press sends a keyboard command; and "auto-completion" where the pedal press sends a command, followed after an adjustable interval by a second command. You can speed up the second turn (e.g. when you're jumping to a segna that's on the second half of the new page) with a double-click; or slow it down (for slow, complex music) by holding down the pedal. Finally, you can select the mode and choose the auto time delay, all just by pressing the pedal and watching the LED.

It's an easy thing to build with a ready-made Arduino Nano ESP32 board, any kind of pedal, 3D printed case, and minimal wiring. If anyone wants to know more, I'm happy to share. Photo here

For example "Flöte" is read as "Flöte".

As things stand, the default folder to load a local file from is simply the last-used local folder.

I currently copy these PDFs from Google Drive into a OneDrive folder called MobileSheetsSync. 

I annotate these OneDrive PDFs during rehearsals using one of the Android tablets (mainly with highlighting). 

I would like those annotations to be synchronised between the 2 Android tablets (I use a big tablet for performance putting it on a music stand and a smaller tablet when I'm holding it during rehearsals) and the Windows PC. 

What is the best way to set this up?

So far I have bought an Android and a PC licence and I have set the 3 devices up and they can all see the OneDrive folder on the PC. 

I have annotated some of the PDFs using one of the Android tablets and the PDFs are always recalled with the annotations on that Android tablet but the annotations don't sync to the other Android tablet nor to the Windows PC so I am doing something wrong and I would be grateful for any help.]]> false
