Something interesting which might be a workaround for you (yes, itsme, that I tested ;-) ):

Say you have your score with pages from 1-100 and you want to "filter" pages 20-30 to be played.
If you put the pages like 20-30,1-100 you have the filtered ones at the beginning at the score (and you can also follow them up with other page ranges you like).

If you annotate 20-30 the annotations initially only show up in these pages at the beginning (not again in the pages 1-100).
If you remove 20-30 from the range and just leave 1-100 the annotations appear at the corresponding pages.

I you reapply 20-30 again at the beginning the annotation are in both page ranges.

For whatever reason this works (and I reckon as long as you don't remove a page completely from the range and let the complete range 1-100 always in, tested on win10).

So you can have kind of a snippet with kind of a sync to the source score. I don't think it's an intended feature but at least some workaround with the current capabilities.

That's an interesting side effect  Definitely gonna try that out.
