How to draw ellipse shape instead of circle?
#1
Dear all,

Using v3.9.38 under Android on both Samsung S6-lite 2022 and Samsung A9+; with and without active styluses.

When selecting the oval-tool for drawing shapes, it seems impossible to draw an oval (ellipse). MobileSheets always draws a perfect circle, with the start position as its center.

The manual reads many shapes are available, "including lines, rectangles, ellipses and arrows."

What am I missing? How can I draw an oval?

Thanks and kind regards,

You have to first draw a circle, select it, then stretch the sides or top/bottom to make it an oval. I wasn't sure how often people would need an oval in terms of having a dedicated tool, and it would require a different process to create one (such as drawing the box containing the ellipse versus expanding outward from the point of contact like a circle).

Hi Mike,

Thanks to your reply, I now discovered the selection tool and what one can do to edit annotations.
I will distribute this knowledge to all our choir's users of MobileSheets.

Thank you, once again. Kind regards,
