This post is to inform users that purchased the Windows version of MobileSheets through the FastSpring store that version 3.9.30 is going to require users to backup their library, free the license key, uninstall MobileSheets, reinstall MobileSheets, enter their license key and then restore the library in order to get future updates. The reason for this is the digital certificate that is used to sign the installer has changed. The company that previously provided the certificate went out of business and I had to switch to a company called DigiCert. DigiCert changed some of the information in the certificate and they were unwilling to make modifications to that information due to their validation policy. The changes to the certificate results in the installation directory for MobileSheets changing. The reason this occurs is because Microsoft decided that the installation directory for applications installed through a .msixbundle file should be determined by the certificate that is used to sign the application. This is a ridiculous solution in my opinion, but it is not something I can control or change. 

Users have two different options for moving their data after reinstalling, which I will describe below:

Option #1 - Use a library backup file

Step 1: Load MobileSheets, tap the three dots at the top right, then Settings, then Backup and Restore and finally "Backup Library. Tap the folder icon to select a destination, then tap OK. After the backup finishes, tap OK
Step 2: Tap the "About" section on the settings screen, then tap "View License". Next, tap "Uninstall". This will free the license key so it can be used again after reinstalling. Alternatively, you can save a license file and load that license file later, but I would generally recommend just uninstalling the key and then entering it normally.
Step 3: Uninstall MobileSheets in Windows under "Add or Remove Programs"
Step 4: Download the latest MobileSheets installer using the link that was provided after purchasing (contact me at mike@zubersoft.com if you need this link).
Step 5: After reinstalling the software, load it, and enter your license key or load the license file
Step 6: Go to Settings->Backup and Restore->Restore Library from Backup, tap the folder icon, then select the .msb file that was generated. Tap OK, then tap OK after the restore finishes. The library and all settings should be as they were.

Option #2 - Move the application files manually

Step 1: Open Windows File Explorer and navigate to C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Packages\Zubersoft.MobileSheets_9fx6hze9e3cne\LocalState. Copy all of the files and folders into a safe location.
Step 2: Tap the "About" section on the settings screen, then tap "View License". Next, tap "Uninstall". This will free the license key so it can be used again after reinstalling. Alternatively, you can save a license file and load that license file later, but I would generally recommend just uninstalling the key and then entering it normally.
Step 3: Uninstall MobileSheets in Windows under "Add or Remove Programs"
Step 4: Download the latest MobileSheets installer using the link that was provided after purchasing (contact me at mike@zubersoft.com if you need this link).
Step 5: After reinstalling the software without loading it, open Windows File Explorer and navigate to C:\Users\mzube\AppData\Local\Packages\Zubersoft.MobileSheets_kky44xebyat06\LocalState. Move all of the files and folders that were copied in step #1 into this directory.
Step 6: Open MobileSheets, enter the license key and the library should be as it was before reinstalling.

I am going to be sending out emails to every customer that purchased the Windows version of MobileSheets through FastSpring with this information as well.
