I've noticed since the Companion App on Windows received a significant UI overhaul this earlier this year that some functionality has been taken away in my experience.

I can no longer click and drag multiple songs when editing a manual order setlist. I have tried holding shift and clicking the group of highlighted songs in the list, yet it still moves just the one song that was under the cursor. 

This is a big con for me when using companion to efficiently modify my setlist orders. 

Also, the dark mode that came with the same big update was a welcome change, but the line color that indicates where the song you are dragging is going to land, i.e. before or after an entry in the list is a dark line against a now dark background. That line needs to be inverted to white for better visibility.

These two things are my only major gripe! Hopefully this post can get some answers.

When it comes to the multiple selection behavior, the new framework would have made it impossible to support that while also supporting a single click to add entries. I prefer the default behavior being a single click to add things. However, in order to support multiple selection, my plan is to have a toggle for insertion mode, where it enables multiple selection of entries, but left click no longer adds things. If you click on the left list, it will add all of the selected entries before the selected entry (or to the end if you click at the end). How does that sound? I think a click will be faster than drag & drop in many ways.

I will look into fixing the issue with the dark line on a dark background - that should be easy enough to adjust.

I appreciate the quick response, forgive me for not getting back to you as soon! I liked the double click to add, and have found the single click cumbersome and prone to accidentally adding things.    To clarify my use case, I am not referring to selecting multiple songs from my global song list and dragging/adding them into my setlist, rather I want to have multiple selection inside my existing setlist, to say select songs 17, 18, 19, and 20 in the list, in order to drag and drop them to the front of the setlist. This saves time over dragging and dropping each individual song to it's new position.

The companion app is most helpful in uploading files into my library, but even more so to be able to view my existing setlists with 50-100 entries in large form(more entries and info on the screen) and experiment with the manual order based on song key, Capo position, etc. while having the ability to modify the order of multiple entries fast and easy. 

The quickest way I have found to rather blindly and quickly move entries to a particular section of the setlist is when I'm in the app on my tablet I do the following: 
1. For song #17 in the list I tap on it's list number(17)
2. I then quickly edit that number to 1 for example and hit enter
3. I rinse and repeat for entries 18, 19, 20

This is faster than dragging and dropping them whether using the tablet app or companion app, but since only so much is in view on the screen in the tablet app when doing this, I'm only roughly placing the entries earlier or later in the setlist, it creates more work. With this personal use case, I've always wanted the companion app to have the option to turn on setlist entry numbering and then have the able to click and edit them quickly in the same fashion as the tablet app. Honestly just to have the visual aid of the entry numbers in the companion app would be incredibly helpful, I'm always recounting down the list to place an entry at a specific number position.

I wanted to mention that with the latest companion app updates (4.1.4 is the latest now), you can use multi-select with drag & drop if desired. You'll see the new icon at the top right corner of the setlist/group editor to enable/disable that behavior.

I see that Song Numbers have been added in the Left List, and that I can double click and change those values on the fly. Awesome! That's quicker than dragging and dropping each individual song to a newly desired position.

Glad to see you've implemented the insertion feature that you mentioned in your original response. It doesn't solve my original use case, which is simply selecting songs 1-5 in the left list and being able to click and drag them to a different position in the left list. I'm also realizing that within the left list I am unable to select multiple songs and delete all songs selected at once. So it seems like the left list is lacking any batch manipulation, that was there within the companion app previously before the new framework.

I can look into supporting that if I allow entries in the left list to be selectable. I haven't thought through this fully yet to see if there will be any issues with doing that though.
