USB-MIDI connections to Korg PA300 with new Microsoft MIDI2 interface
#1
I want to connect MSP on Windows11 via USB-Midi to the midi-device port of a Korg PA300. Currently MSP does not find any USB-Midi interface to this device.

A former info was that MSP is created on top of Windows WMF library, which cannot detect the  Korg USB-Midi driver.
Does anybody know to deal with this problem?

Question to MSP Developer:
Would the new anounced MIDI 2.0 Stack by Microsoft open a chance to enable MSP on Windows?

MobileSheets uses Microsoft's UWP MIDI library, as that's the only library available for UWP applications. Until I switch away from the UWP framework, there really isn't much I can do about that unfortunately. The only known workaround is to put a MIDI class compliant device between MobileSheets and the KORG device, such as the Roland UM-ONE, the mio-XC, mioXM, etc.

Thanks for the info.
Unfortunally these Interfaces have standard DIN-Jacks at the keyboard side. The PA300 does not have them but only an USB device port (not USB host).
Therefor I will try a Windows loop device software as midi proxy hoping than MSP can use the loop device.

I find a new Solution to the Problem MSP not recognizing the KORG USB-device:
Whith the new Windows MIDI Service (MIDI 2.0) i can Create a New Looback Endpoint Pair which MSP recognize as a MIDI-Device.  In Addition I use the UMP-OX Version 1.5.0 from Bernoit BOUCHEZ to route the MIDI-Stream between the KORG-USB-Device (currently a Pa1000) and the Loopback Endpoint Pair an from there to MSP

Managing the new Windows MIDI Service in Windows 11 with the MIDI Settings app from MIDI Runtime and Tools
