About 5 months ago, I bought a new Dell Windows 11 PC in anticipation of the EOL of Windows 10. (Fortunately, I didn't get rid of my Windows 10 computer.)
All was working fine up until today. Suddenly, when I try to Connect via USB to Companion on the Windows 11 PC, I get the message:
Unable to connect to tablet. Please try again. You need to enable USB debugging on your tablet, and download a driver on your PC to connect over USB. For help on connecting with USB, click on "Help", and then "How to Connect with USB".
I just added some songs to a setlist yesterday using the same PC and tablet, and all was working fine. So I tried my other Android tablet, and have the same problem. Then I tried my Android phone, first installing MobileSheets from the Play store and then restoring my library to the phone from the backup I did yesterday. I was able to get one connection, to do that, but since then, I can't get it to connect again.
So I then went to the old Windows 10 PC and tried connecting my tablets to MobileSheets on that -- all works fine there. I'm glad it works, so I have some method to update my setlists. However, I want to get everything working again on the Windows 11 PC, as it was working fine yesterday and every day since I bought it and started using MobileSheets on it.
QUESTION: Did Mobile Sheets do an update overnight that would cause this problem?
Equipment info:
Windows 11 Dell PC - running latest build of Windows 11 Home 64-bit, with all updates/patches installed.
Asus MemoPad 10 Android Tablets - running Android ?? (the last version supported by that hardware)
Samsung Galaxy A52 5G phone - running Android 14 with all updates/patches installed
Please advise. Thanks.
