Best way to transfer library from old tablet to new?
#1
Good morning to all,

I am a quite "fresh" user of mobile sheets. I installed it some three months ago and I am still impressed of how capable it is; I used to operate it on my old Samsung tab A10 and i have a library of round-about 260 songs which is still increasing. For better view, I ordered a new Samsung S9 Ultra, and from there on I want to keep my old A10 as emergency back-up device.
What would be the best way for transferring my library from old to new? I am a little bit scared of loosing essential scores and my annotations in the process. Should I simply save a backup .msb file on the old A10 and transfer and open it on my new tablet S9? Or should I go for the sync-function of my library and sync it with my googledrive or my NAS?

Thank you very much in advance!

Best Regards,
Johannes

Having a backup file of your personal data stored in a safe place (and updated regularly) is always a nice idea, with MSP it with any other piece of software.

Once done that, you can either import that backup file in your new device or use the sync feature, knowing that if something goes wrong you are safe

Johannes, in MobileSheets, have a look at Settings > Storage and you will see that Mike has programmed MobileSheets to work with Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive.

There are helpful tutorial videos here https://zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/tutorials/ including one on moving device libraries that demonstrates the different ways of moving a library to another device.

Dear Mike, dear all,

Thank you very much for your advice! I 'll look into it once the new S9 tab has arrived and everthing is configured.

Best Regards,
Johannes
