It was a known issue many updates back, but it's no longer an issue with any of the recent updates. There is no global setting to reset the transpose key of all songs, but I can do that for you. Just let me know what platform you are on (Android, Windows, iOS) and I can provide instructions.

If you send mobilesheets.db under C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Packages\41730Zubersoft.MobileSheets_ys1c8ct2g6ypr\LocalState to mike@zubersoft.com, I can fix the file for you, send it back and you can just replace mobilesheets.db.

Did a forum search and glad I found this post. Good for my sanity! This happened to me as well. I have stayed fairly current on updates. I can't say which one caused the problem but I am at MSP 3.9.33 on Android 14 and it's still happening. Maybe 1 or 2 versions prior? For the record - these are .txt files that I received from someone else that (unbeknownst to me) used chordpro-like formatting (see below). MSP interprets these as chordpro (which I don't think it should - garbage in garbage out because of the .txt extension in my opinion) and produces a transposed display version. If I change the extension to .cho the same thing happens.
I don't think this problem is happening on a true .txt file, i.e., one that does NOT use bracketed in-line chords.
I'm fixing mine manually but it is not ideal. There are some that I purposely transposed (either at the source level or the display level) so I have to be careful.
Here is a formatting example that got transposed from G to C. Using either .txt or .cho extension produces the same result. I'm not a chordpro expert so I can't truly say this is chordpro formatting but MSP drops the "Title:" keyword and makes the title itself a larger font then puts the (wrong) chords over the words. Maybe this is more correctly considered OnSong formatting? That's what the sender uses and he generally shares files in a format similar to this example.

I look for ChordPro syntax in .txt files because a significant number of users were importing ChordPro files with a .txt file extension and were upset that it wasn't working properly.
That chord syntax is definitely ChordPro syntax (I think OnSong uses its own variant of that), and that is a very unusual thing to have in a standard .txt file, where you typically would have chords over lyrics.
As far as the transposing, I can fix that for you if you want to send me your database. You'll need to enable Settings->Storage->Expose Database and then send me mobilesheets.db under the default storage location (which is /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.zubersoft.mobilesheetspro/files).

Thank you Mike. My problems are manageable. I did confirm the current MSP version works correctly on new .txt and .cho files with bracketed in-line chords. I just have to find and "untranspose" previously imported files with this formatting. For those that I transposed myself, most will be at the display level but some may be at the source file level so it would be best for me to go through them manually.
