I came across some strange renderings of a grid and some Pango highlighting in a certain ChordPro file on my Boox Tab.
- different height of the highlighting when a part of the text is bold
- descenders of e.g. p and g are covered by the highlighting of the next line
- the last measure bars of the grid look strange, depending of the grid chord font size
  between the screenshots I changed nothing else but Text Display Settings - Grid Size
               

I provided an MSF export of the song and a settings export in my GoogleDrive.

I'm guessing this is due to the option to hide gaps betwen pages as well. Try turning that off and let me know if that eliminates the problem.

With "Remove Gaps" OFF the measure bar issue is gone. The highlighting is unchanged.
