Obscurred page back arrow
#1
The latest iOS 26.2 introduces a box containing 3 coloured action icons in the top left hand corner. On my iPad Pro this obscures the back arrow on edit pages making it very difficult to go back without exiting the App in extreme cases

That is incredibly annoying. Thank you for pointing that out. I will have to shift things over I suppose. The major problem is that I can't know if the user has enabled multitasking on the device and has stage manager enabled. I also can't easily detect if they've taken the app out of fullscreen mode while using stage manager. Shifting the arrow over when stage manager is not active will just look weird. So I may need to add a global setting to control this. Apple really should add a way for developers to know what the user has selected in the device settings...

Andrew, what did you do so that the 3 coloured dots appeared? I can see you are in the Settings menu but I don't have what you do, there or anywhere else.

I bought a new M3 iPad Air with iPadOS 26.2 yesterday, migrated everything across from my 2017 5th generation iPad and then did the OS upgrade required. MobileSheets works exactly on this new iPad Air as it does on my old one.

As far as I can tell, you have to enable stage manager and pull MobileSheets out of the expanded full screen mode through stage manager. The way I did this is by dragging down from the top of the screen to display the little iOS menu bar, and then tapped the three dot button and took it out of fullscreen mode. That was the only way I was able to reproduce this problem. I never see the three dots button when the app is fullscreen even if stage manager is enabled.

Got it!

When new the iPad > settings > Multitasking & Gestures panel was default set to Windowed Apps. As soon as I could I returned it to Full-Screen Apps.

I just switched back to Windowed Apps and, hey presto, I get the 3 coloured buttons Andrew reported. And yes, as Mike reports, it is the same when selecting Stage Manager.

I can be smug and happy as I prefer Full-Screen Apps but the other two options are now a new headache for Mike.

Thanks Mike and Lester for the heads up, that all helps a lot.

I’m afraid that the ‘subtleties’ of stage manager passed me by, and by me not picking up that is was on by default and optional/switchable, I have got very used over a long period of time now, to multitasking sliding windows on the iPad. Which I like and now much prefer having tried it off.

So a bit of a nuisance to me really, but I can work with it

Same problem here. I can't get to the back arrow either! Fortunately, it came up lastnight at rehearsal and not on a gig! I know Apple is slow tyo fgive developers a heads-up; but can someone make this a priority?

If you need a workaround, just go to the iPad settings and turn off the multi-tasking features. That will stop Apple's little component from overlapping the app.
