Eraser behaviour
#1
I find when I use the eraser, I generally just want to erase one thing very quickly instead of a whole swath of annotations all over the page.

It would be great if there were two options for the eraser: one in which the eraser is enabled only for as long as the annotation session lasts, and then switches back to the previously-chosen tool (such as the pencil). That would avoid the necessity of having to end each use of the eraser by selecting the pencil or whatever tool the user feels is the normal default.

The second eraser option would be the current implementation: it stays selected even after the annotation session ends, until the user manually selects some other tool.

Perhaps there could be an easy way of choosing these modes: a single tap of the eraser would temporarily enable it until the annotation session ends, then going back to the previous tool; while a double-tap would keep the eraser chosen until manually overridden. Or something like that...

Look at the Layer tool (user manual, page 127) as you can select the bits you want to delete and see them highlighted before you delete it or them. It is just a different way of doing the same thing as the Eraser tool.

I don't know what kind of device you're using, but if you have a tablet with a stylus pen, you can switch between pencil and eraser by pressing the button on the pen.

If you use an active stylus, as McAroni has suggested, you can assign the stylus button to trigger the eraser. You can hold the button to start erasing, then release the button when you are done erasing. That's by the far the easiest option. Otherwise you can consider using a two finger tap to switch between the active tool and the eraser.

I have an oneplus pad 3 and stylo in notes app supports the double tap to switch from Pen to eraser. How to enable It in mobilesheets?
Thank you

Edit: probably i confused the double finger tap (on the touchscreen) with the double tap on the stylus that in OneplusPad3 notes app switches between pen and eraser. Sorry!
