I'm on my way to split Paul Hardy's tunebooks into separate ABC files to make them usable on MobileSheets. During that process I noticed some bugs when trying to transpose ABC files.
Transposing of ABC sections that are embedded in ChordPro files seems to work.
Transposing ABC files in major keys on Win11 and Android seems to work. The "keys" field is filled correctly and transposing works as expected.
I have already posted somewhere else that having the choice of transposing up or down is an essential requirement.
Here my current issues:
1.) Songs in minor keys don't work as expected.
The attached "Air 36" is clearly labelled with K:Am
When I import that file into MobileSheets 3.9.34 on Win11 "keys" is set correctly to Am.
When I open the transpose window for the first time it says "Starting Key: Gb" and current transpose state "A"
When I open the transpose window again it says "Starting Key: Gb" and current transpose state "Gb" - better, but still wrong.
Transposing itself works, it transposes the expected number of semitones (usage of sharps or flats is questionable), e.g. transposing a semitone up by selecting G results in A#m, two semitones up to Ab results in Hm (Bm), "Reset" goes back to showing Gb again and the score is reset to the original key Am.
When I import the same file into MobileSheets 3.9.34 on Android "keys" is also set correctly to Am.
When I open the transpose window for the first time it says "Starting Key: C" (which is somehow correct, Am would be better) and current transpose state "A", that's wrong.
When I open the transpose window again it says "Starting Key: C" and current transpose state "C / Am". This is correct and transposing works as expected.
2.) When I import any ABC file (no matter if in a minor or a major key) into MobileSheets on my Boox Tab Ultra C "keys" is not taken over at all.
When I open the transpose window neither a starting key nor a transpose state is displayed, transposing is not possible.
Setting "keys" manually in the song editor doesn't help.
