My audio player lacks the top-right icons.  The online manual shows a digit in a square, an icon to let the audio player be moved, a settings icon & an X; I see none of these on my screen.  It's the settings icon that I was after!  The reason could be another thread ...

That looks like the audio player in the song editor. That is different, and it's supposed to be different. You need to actually load the song (not edit it) and tap to bring up the overlay and the audio player. Then you'll see all the icons.
