Idea for dealing with multi-page repeats
#1
Great Product!!!!

As a keyboard player, one thing I miss is a method of navigating multi-page repeats, i.e. a section repeat spanning 2 or more pages, so neither gesture or pedal activation can deal with going back quickly enough.
My suggestion is to create a digital/visual flag on a page that has the repeat starts and another flag (different so can be distinguished) at the page where the repeat ends. This could be indicated either at the bar of the repeat as a different b/g colour or a symbol, or whatever...
The way it would work is that when you get to the repeat pressing the left pedal jumps back to the start repeat page (rather than to the previous page). If you want to ignore the repeat, simply don't do anything (or go to the next page).

Clearly start and end repeat indicators have to be different and occur as pairs, but there shouldn't be any confusion with pages where a new repeat starts after a repeat end as MS would only need to jump back to the repeat start that immediately precedes that page. This should be reasonably easy to implement as I don't think its necessary to deal with nested repeats (at least I have never come across them!).

Hope this makes sense - please get back if not. Hope it can be done!

Or you could just use the Edit | Files| Page Order option to duplicate pages e.g. 1-3,4,5,6,4-6,7 and crop them as you want.
Then use vertical scrolling to move forward through the file (all in the same direction) using the same method as you currently do to change pages.

Richard - can you please explain how your request is different from link points which already exist the app and function pretty much exactly as you've described? You just need to use the "Activate Next Link or Go to Next Page" and "Activate Previous Link or Go to Previous Page" pedal actions if you would like to trigger the link points with your pedal.

Yeah, custom page order with duplicated (and cropped and whitened parts) pages or link points are the way to go. As a keyboarder myself I prefer the former since you just change pages as if it is one continuous piece/song.

I did take some time to try to find something that would do multiple pages but clearly failed to find them.
The duplicate page is fine as long you ALWAYS want to use the repeats, but the link suggestion I will definitely investigate.

Thanks all!

Link points are great - I use them a lot because I can determine exactly how far the page scrolls. And for repeats too.

Thank you all - links is what I needed; I don't know how I missed it looking at the manual.

The one issue I would like to mention is that I use a dual pedal for page turns. When not using a link, I use the left pedal for back and right pedal for next; this is etremely useful for practice purposes. If I set up a link for the left pedal (i.e. the left pedal switch action set to "Activate link point or turn page", the left pedal (when not on a page with a link) reverts to moving to next page. I've tried some of the other options, but clearly they don't apply. Have I missed something? If not, can the "activate link point or turn page" be split into 2 for next and previous pages?

There is an "Activate previous link or go to previous page" action as well as an "Activate next link or go to next page" action. Those are the two actions I would suggest using.
