a help button or support button would be super: faq's, indexed manual, etc. i'm not finding any instruction on how to change view to two page mode. The process given in the manual doesnt seem to apply. no page icon appears when clicking on the center of a page.

Normally you would just tap the center of the screen (not the center of a page) to bring up the song overlay to access the display mode icon. If that just turns a page, then it sounds like performance mode has been enabled. To disable performance mode, tap the lock icon in the floating toolbar at the bottom right corner of the library screen. This same toggle can be accessed by tapping the bottom right corner of the screen while a song is loaded to display the quick action box. Then you can tap to access the song overlay.
