export stalls at a certain random % level
#1
Hello
I have problems with the export as file function under W10 : after selecting the files to be exported and launching the export process, export strats but stalls after a certain value of completion. I suspect a corrupted song ?
NO way to get through.

<edit>  after various tests, I finally pinpointed a precise song that doesn't export .  Is there any way to dig a little bit deeper ?

Is there any process to check and clean the database ?

Just some ideas

Try exporting first half of songs to a file to see if bad file in that group.
Then try exporting second half - to see if there is more than one bad file!
You can probably guess where to split the file from where the full backup fails.

Binary chop on bad half to try to identify problem file and send it to Mike.

Check you have enough space on your device - just in case MS is writing two export files and fills up the device.
Try exporting to a local file (if you are sending to dropbox or similar)

I did that in the meantime and I found a "corrupted" song that doesn't export. (see my edited first port)
What next ?
Is there any way to explain why it is wrong? suppress attached pdf and mp3 files one by one ?

I'm sure that Mike will give you instructions on how to get the file to him.

Might just be worth checking that you can export all the other songs as a single operation.

Please long press the song, tap Share->Export as .msf and see if that completes successfully. If so, please share the .msf file with mike@zubersoft.com and I'll investigate further.

Thanks,
Mike
