Firstly, Mobile sheets is incredible I love it.

I am playing in a two piece guitar band and we play with backing tracks, the media play is useful but more control would be amazing. We would like more control over the backing tracks so this is a big ask, would you consider looking at adding something more sophisticated with perhaps 4-6 channels so that we could control various elements of a backing track.

From my point of view I would pay extra for the ability to do this, I think MS is already under-priced.

I am not saying this wouldn't be a challenge, but it would really reduce the kit we need to lug about.

I could go into detail but if it's a concept you would consider then I'd be happy to write full details.

I watched as OnSong grew from a great, straightforward sheet music management app to bloatware with lighting, projection and more, but it all seemed to be too much for Jason and his team. I would be so disappointed if something similar happened to MobileSheets, so I would vote against making MobileSheets bloatware but the desire for fellow musicians to be able to synchronise multiple apps to make their shows go better has to be a good thing.

Let's see what Mike and the other MobileSheets users think.

I use backing tracks a lot and there are points I would like to suggest:

link points / audio position

visibility of loop markers

and maybe simplifying play/pause button as toggle.
(if audio is played, there is no need for a play button, but for pause and vice versa)

IMHO, all these points are related to a (more?) smooth and easy handling of this great sheet music managment app.
And to say it technically and clear: it's a database with extension to audio, midi,....

I wouldn't vote for making an egg-laying wool milk pig that you can ride.

Even I wouldn't pay money for things I'll never need, maybe there is a possibility for payed "add-ons" for this specific and rare requests.
(But I buyed the windows version - which I don't really use -  to support mike....).

I agree in avoiding "Bloatware", however, I was making the suggestion to see if it could be a consideration to enhance the embedded player, or indeed change to something with much greater functions.

I use MobileSheets pretty much daily, but I suspect I'm only utilising 10% of the whole, however, that suits my needs currently. As with other functions in MobileSheets, turning them on or off, using them or not would allow for even more customisation than already exists. 

I recently started using the Midi capabilities, and whilst there are other applications and hardware already available, mobilesheets has quite an extensive offering in this arena, which I don't believe has bloated it, and has become extremely useful to me. I believe the same could be true in extending the capabilities of the player. To be fair, I think you could already control lighting and projection with the Midi capabilities, it just depends on how creative you wish to be with any of the options available.

I must reiterate I'm not advocating any bloating, but merely floating a suggestion, which, selfishly would suit me, but may also be a consideration for others.

Having said that I am very happy with the functionality already provided, and find it to be incredibly useful as it is, so if this suggestion falls into the weeds, then so be it.
