Importing Fails
#1
I have 3 PDFs:
Love Is A Many Splendored Thing Busk Eb
Love Is A Many Splendored Thing Easier Chords
Love ls A Many Splendored Thing F WITH INTRO

I normally use drag/drop, and picked all 3 files up and dropped them on the app. Never had an issue with multiple files before and they have always imported.

In this case, it only ever imports the first two and says that the third is a duplicate and ignored it.
Rename the third one to "Love is" and it will import and add it.
If I then change the name of the file from "Love Is" to " Love ls A Many Splendored Thing F WITH INTRO" It disappears from both thr Mobile Sheets Windows app and the storage folder.
Not sure why, but now all 3 are in the mobile sheets folder, but the third is not showing in the app.

Is my library corrupt and if so, how do I fix please?
I have regenerated the file a few times and checked that it reads properly
Thanks

Just thoughts

You can try "Settings| Other Settings| Find Missing Files"

Perhaps the file name is too long for the app to display?

When doing the drag drop, make sure that you have "Use FileName as Song Title" (not "Guess")

If the file was ignored, it means you already had that existing file in your library tied to one of the songs. There's no other explanation. I'm not sure what's going on with the rename problem though - I don't see how the file could just vanish if you just renamed it...

You can change the song title formatting (Settings->Library Settings->Song Title Formatting) to include %FILE_NAMES%, and you could change the search dropdown on the library screen to "File Paths" and then enter the name of the file. That should show you any song tied to that file.

Hello both,

Thank you for the suggestions. I found that there were several duplicates in the missing files section.

The problem PDF from Musescore could be seen it in any viewer, chrome, adobe etc.

After clearing those, I deleted the two PDFs from MS that had uploaded correctly and then I reloaded only the one that was failing, now with a different name and using the Exact File Name on import. I had recreated the PDF a few times from Musescore.

In the end, there appears to be an issue in the PDF that I could not see on screen. I deleted all the duplicates in the missing files. I changed the name of one of the ones that would upload and no issue uploading. I copied all the bars from the failing score, regenerated the PDF and all is well. So in this case, there was a problem with the PDF that I could not see - there must be an issue in Musescore

Thank you both for your help
