My new (replacement for iOS 26-incompatible BT200) PED 500 triggers a pop-up message during play that is distracting and, in fact, obscures part of my music score while playing. Screenshots are attached.
While the pop-up is displayed, sound from my digital wind instrument is momentarily blocked. Added to the stress of obscured notes, this is very disconcerting.
My tablet is an Apple iPad Air M3 (2025 with latest iOS update).
Other pedals (BT200, Roland FS-1) did not / do not produce this pop-up message.
Kindly assist. With several upcoming performances, I hesitate to use MobileSheets with the PED 500 even though my entire library of performance pieces is on MobileSheets.
That message indicates that your pedal is being connected as a MIDI device for some reason instead of a normal HID. Did you connect the pedal under Settings->MIDI Settings->Configure MIDI Connections? If so, disconnect the pedal from there and you won't get that message. You can switch the pedal to mode 2 or 3 if you want to use it as an HID so that you don't get that message. Then you configure the pedal actions under Settings->Touch & Pedal Settings->Pedal Actions, or you can use mode 1 with AirTurn Direct Mode.
I so appreciate how responsive and helpful you are. Your direct involvement in the forums was the main reason I chose the MobileSheets app — and the main reason I recommend it to friends.
I tried each of your suggestions. The pop-up message is still occurring.
Looking at the manual here https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1109/4...nglish.pdf, the only way the pedal should be connecting over MIDI is if it is in mode 7. What mode is the pedal in currently? If you press and hold the mode button to switch to mode 3 (meaning the power button blinks three times before releasing) and then you pair the pedal in the bluetooth settings on the device, does that not prevent the message from being displayed? We really need to figure out why the pedal is connecting over MIDI at all.

Mike, I worked my way through all the modes on the PED500, each time forgetting the device on Bluetooth and resetting the pedal before re-pairing. The messages persisted in each mode.
I believe the messages might be related to the digital instrument I also have connected to my iPad: the Roland Aerophone Pro AE-30. The AE-30 uses Bluetooth as well as being MIDI enabled.
Even though I turned off the MIDI, the messages continue to pop up, obscuring my sheet music and interrupting sound from my wind synth until the message disappears.
When I play this same Aerophone set up on other apps, e.g. YouTube, EasyPerformer, Stagetraxx, there are no pop-ups.
I have an upcoming performance and am stymied.
Unless you have other suggestions, I need to be able to turn off MobileSheets notifications.
So the last thing you can try is to go to Settings->Backup and Restore->Export Settings, generate a .mcf file, then Settings->Other Settings->Reset Settings to Default, then close and restart MobileSheets, see if the MIDI message still pops up. If it does, then the only solution will be for me to add an option in the app to disable MIDI entirely. I can add that for the next update. If it does not, then you would have to go back through and change the settings in the app, but it would prevent the MIDI connection from occurring.
