Displayed fields in song list view
#1
Hello all! I just started using MobileSheets, and there are a few customizations I haven't figured out yet. I'd like to know if there is a way to change which fields I see in the song list view. Currently, I can see the song name with source listed below in gray, and an icon on the right for songs with audio files. Is it possible to also display things like keys, signatures, and ratings? In that same vein, is it also possible to change which filters I see? I'd rather have signatures than "Diff" in my main filter view.

Please watch this tutorial video on the song title formatting: https://youtu.be/hAUnxQFB8ZI

That is how you control which data is displayed for each song. You cannot currently change the filters - that's coming in a future update.

Thanks Mike.  Just joined this forum but have been using MobileSheets for years.  Didn't really use it much until recently.  Now on the song formatting area of the library display, I wish that the tab insertions would space out the fields like columns in a single line. The tabs work but they are not uniform Example:  A song with the name ABCDEFG and a tab for artist and a tab for key displays differently than a song named ABC and the Artist also diplays differently because each artist has a different field length in the name. Its cool that its dynamic but It would be nice to have it show uniformly.  I used to use the show captions but two spaces take up too much screen room. I hope this makes sense and thank you for a wonderful product. I turned a couple of my other jammers on to Mobile Sheets last week as well.
Thanks

Hello Nick,

The problem is that the font is not a fixed-width font, so each character does not take up the same number of spaces. That's why tabs between lines aren't guaranteed to line up. The only way to get that to work properly would be to support a monospace/fixed-width font, but those generally are less pleasing to look at. That's certainly something I can add as an option in the future though for users that want it. I think I would also have to do some semi-complex calculations to turn tabs into spaces and then figure out how many spaces to insert to reach the next tab position. If I just use tabs without doing that, then things won't line up between different parts of the lines.
