I'd super appreciate any help anyone can provide.  I'm trying to import a large batch of PDF's of hymns.  I wrote a CSV file to batch import a couple hundred at once.  I want to set a couple properties at import, at least the custom property so I can use the letter navigation and sorting features based on hymn Number as well.  But, when I import and select local CSV import, I'm prompted with a dialog box to choose the PDF.  I choose a PDF file and the entire batch is imported but the one PDF is used for every single record I imported.  How come the one PDF file is used?  Is there a way to set a directory so the import process uses the path to the PDF's instead of just the one PDF file for all records being imported.  

Ultimately, I'm just trying to set a custom field in the import, so if there is a different way to do that, say through filename format, I'm open to that.  Can anyone provide some assistance please?

The CSV import feature is used to break one PDF up into many individual songs. It's not currently designed to allow different files to be used for different songs that are created. What you are wanting is something that has been asked for, and will be supported at some point. You can use Import->Batch Import to pull in all of the files at once, and on the batch import screen, just populate the Custom field with the value that you want applied to all of the new songs that are created.
