Hi Mike,
I am currently transitioning my entire library from PDF/SongSelect sheets to ChordPro. While I love the flexibility of ChordPro, I’ve encountered a small limitation regarding the "Song Notes" (Anmerkungen) dialog.

Often, I need quick "mental aids" or small visual cues (like a specific fingering, a small riff snippet, or a handwritten note) that I would like to store within the Song Notes instead of just plain text. 
This would allow me to see these visual reminders as soon as the song loads (using the "Show notes on song load" feature).

Currently, the notes field only supports text. Is there any way to implement support for images (e.g., small PNG/JPG files) in this specific dialog in the future? Or perhaps a way to link an annotation layer specifically to the notes popup?

This would be a huge help for those of us moving away from static PDFs to more dynamic text-based formats.

Did you check the features that are available for annotations?
Btw. you're mixing terms. Two different possibilities exist in MobileSheets to add remarks to songs: "notes" (Notizen) and "annotations" (Anmerkungen)
   
For annotations a number of graphical elements exist. Please read the manual to discover more.

Furthermore, in ChordPro you can add images to your song files, see https://www.chordpro.org/beta/directives-image/ 
Please search chordpro.org and investigate yourself what works in MobileSheets. I don't use it, so I can't provide any help regarding this.

I've been asked a couple times about supporting images with the notes. I'll have to think about this a bit, and how I would want to support that within the UI for the notes, as it's just designed for simple text entry at the moment. Adding support for embedding images requires UI changes, database changes, changes for the popup displaying the notes, support for choosing the size of the image (so it can be scaled), etc. It would be quite a lot of work. As itsme has mentioned, ChordPro itself already supports all these things, so you could just have a first page with the notes content.
