Hello,

New user to MobileSheets, already love the ease of use and advanced features.  I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer; I'm hoping to connect my Yamaha DTX M12 percussion unit via Bluetooth to MS on my TCL Nxtpaper 14 tablet.  I also need to connect a drum machine (Yamaha Click Station) to receive tempo data from MS, I'm hoping to use the USB port.  I'm able to make a connection to the M12 via Bluetooth and send MIDI patch change commands from MS. 
When I connect my USB and try to establish a connection to the drum machine, it only shows the existing Bluetooth connection in the MIDI settings.  If I change to USB in settings, it disconnects the Bluetooth.  I'm running the Google library.  Just wondering if what I'm trying to achieve is possible.  

I've also tried running USB to the M12 and a run MIDI DIN out of the M12 to the drum machine.  The M12 receives the patch changes, but the tempo data is not passed on to the drum machine. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I connected my M12 to my tablet via USB, then the M12 to the drum machine via a standard MIDI cable.  MS is able to send program changes to the M12, but tempo data is not forwarded to the drum machine.  I enabled multiple channels in settings and routed to those in MIDI commands, but the drum machine doesn't see the data through any channel.

I'd like to see if Bluetooth MIDI and USB can work at the same time to make sure I'm getting the MIDI commands to the correct modules.

Unfortunately, I don't support using both bluetooth and USB at the same time on Android at the moment. However, there is nothing that would prevent me from doing so if I changed the "Connect Type" dropdown to a series of checkboxes instead. This shouldn't be a problem with the Google MIDI library, but the high-performance one only supports USB, and with legacy, it's a real pain to try and support both, so I may only support this for the Google MIDI library.

That would be great, Mike.  Connecting my M12 through the USB host port still gives me access to the MIDI din output, but the MIDI clock commands weren't passed thru.  The flexibility of using both bluetooth and USB would help this configuration.

I know I had difficulty connecting USB through the Google library, I could only get it to work through the default library.  Maybe there is something I'm missing in settings.  Thanks for your help!

Yes, the M12 can send MIDI clock data, but the click is assigned to a kit, so I'd have to have 10 or so instances of the same kit to send different tempos.  I'm trying to bypass the M12's clock and send the tempo data from MobileSheets to an external drum machine.
