Setting Differences Between Windows and Android Versions
#1
I believe that the Settings in the Windows PC version is not 100% the same as the Android version.  Is there any document that outline what the differences are.   The reason I'm asking is if I take a Library backup from an Android device and Restore that Library backup onto a Windows PC and some Settings are not the same between the 2 version, I like to know which Setting(s) may be impacted with this Restore.  If I am doing this to a newly installed mobile sheet on the PC, I won't be able to backup the Settings on the PC prior to the restore and then restore back the Windows Settings so if I know where the difference is, I can go to those Settings and adjust them individually to what I want.

Hope this make sense.

The vast majority of settings are identical between the two. Android supports options like "Expose Database" and "Let MobileSheets Manage my Files", while Windows does not. There are a few minor settings like Settings->Display Settings->Use Highest Quality Scaling for Image Files that only exist on Windows due to differences in the frameworks used on each platform. Given that something like 95% or more of the settings are the same, I'm not going to list out every difference, as you can go through the settings screen to see the differences, and ask about any settings you need information on.

Is there a way to compare the information of a mcf file that is created from a Windows version vs that from an android in a user friendly way to find any differences. Can Excel be used to do this comparison.

Not particularly - a .mcf file is a bunch of XML files all packaged together in a binary format along with a few fields of custom information. You could probably use a program like beyond compare to compare them, and it might show you what you need, but it may be difficult to read.
