New user here, and MobileSheets has been (almost) exactly what I’ve been wishing for. Great, great app. I’ve moved all my existing bass guitar tablature over from OneNote and am now working on transcribing new songs from my playlist.
I wanted a “placeholder” for each untranscribed song in my song list in MobileSheets to work on transcribing them one by one. To indicate that they’re not yet transcribed, I added a 111 to the beginning of the song title to float them to the top of the list. So I’ll create a new song in MobileSheets, add a .txt file with the song name (i.e. songtitlex.txt), add the artist, key and tempo, and title it 111SongTitleX. Great so far. So when I get to a song on my to-do list, I’ll open up the 111SongTitleX and go into text edit mode to add my tablature. Save it, remove the 111 from the song title to indicate it’s transcribed and ready to go, and think I’ve accomplished something.
BUT…when I sync my song library to my Dropbox, not only will the 111SongTitleX songs reappear in my list, but sometimes I’ll also see SongTitleX (minus artist and key, tempo remains for some reason) appear in my song list as a duplicate. No matter how many times I delete the 111 songs or the dummy dupe songs, they keep reappearing every time I sync. MobileSheets just won’t let go of them. Note: only a single .txt file for the song remains in my Dropbox folder (that’s good) so it appears just the database file is where the dupes aren’t getting flushed.
Any advice? I’ve tried multiple sync settings but this behavior seems to persist no matter which I choose.
