Editing crashes
#1
with the latest update MobileSheets is crashing very frequently on my Mac (the iPad OS version, not the companion)
For many tunes MS crashes when I select the pencil icon, but not the paintbrush.
It also often (but not always)  crashes when saving edits to abc - though the edits seem to be there when the app is reopened.
Have been a bit reluctant to experiment too much
MobileSheets 3.9.38 (1)
MacOS 26.3

Is this only occuring with songs using ABC files? I do see one crash affecting a very small number of users where, if the transpose key is set incorrectly, it can cause a crash. I have a fix in place for the next update, but you may want to delete those songs and reimport them if possible to eliminate the invalid transpose key to see if this fixes the issue.

It appears that it is not just confined to the Mac - it also happens on the iPad.  It does appear to be related to the piece.  I can't say that it only happens with .abc files, but it certainly does happen with some of those.  I don't know about the transpose aspect since MS transpositions have always seemed to me to happen randomly and without known user input.  I did replace one of the offending pieces and that seems to have solved the problem for that piece.  I exported a .msf of the offending piece before I replaced it if that would be helpful

I wonder about the transposition issue.  It just crashed on a newly entered (via the editor) tune.  I was able to fill in the fields and add audio, but when I tried to open it MS crashed.  If it is helpful, I deleted the tune (from "Reecents") and then tried to recreate it, but MS insists that the abc file already exists.

Succeeded in deleting the tune (realized that "Recents" was a collection then deleted it from "Pieces") and then copied the bare abc into the editor and saved.  No formatting directives, no information its the fields and no audio. Tried to open it and MS crashed immediately.  The same abc text shows no errors in Jef's editor.

Thanks for all the work.  Hope this is helpful in bug hunting

Thanks - I'll give that a try, although it would probably help if you can post the contents of the abc you tested with (just to ensure I'm testing with the same thing).

Another data point, and I don't know whether this is helpful or distracting.  I added a new tune (via the editor) which crashed MS when I tried to open it.
I deleted it and loaded the tune by importing it from a file.  The contents were the same as "editing" consisted only in copy and paste.  The source of the copy was
ABCaurus which uses abc2svg so I can be pretty confident that there are no odd invisible characters, curly quotes or the like.
Good luck
