Annotations on Chordpro files
#1
When I highlight lyrics in a chordpro, they alignment changes everytime there is an update or seemily at random. I figured that the problem was font size or type changing, but I'm not sure. Here is what I've tried as work arounds to keep/embed the annotations:
 • Unchecked "Draw Highlights behind content"
 • Checking and unchecking "Automatically embed annotations"
 • Changing the file to a pdf in the song editor (the screen with Field, Files, Audio, MIDI)
 • "Writing annotations to file in the song overlay" which should create pdf, but doesn't seem to.
 • Printing a pdf from an annotated chordpro file and then importing back inot MobileSheets.
 • To keep some functionality of being able to change the key of a song, I saved two different pdfs in different keys. annotated one of them and then tried to swap the file with the different key pdf hoping the the annotations would be there. But, no luck.
 • I tried messing around with margins in the display settings.
 • For what it's worth, preview in the editing window has misalligned annotations as well.

What am I missing?

I'm on Windows 11

Thanks,
Alex

Have you tried using Pango markup in your Chordpro file?

eg

text to be highlighted unhighlighted text

I have now! This is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I really appreciate it, John. I should have posted to the forum sooner. It would have saved me hours.
