I have been using MobileSheets for over a year and have some people in my group also using mobile sheets. I've digitized a lot of our music but everyone largely maintains their own instance of MobileSheets (creating set lists, determining what music they want to import, etc) and pull down music from a shared google drive (or import their own) as needed.

I have another group that will be having a director change in about two months ... His group has 8 tablets currently and he was simply sharing a dropbox folder and everyone in the group opens a shared PDF he creates of all the music for the service (no mobilesheets or other sheet music app).

If we load MobileSheets on each of these tablets and hand it over to the new music director, I'm wanting to understand the easiest way to maintain this. For me, using the companion app to enter set lists for the next few weeks is easy but I haven't gone the next step and distributing this to other devices. Is there options for a primary device/location (dropbox, google drive, etc) and the other devices will simply sync updated music/set lists/etc the choir members can simply open MobileSheets and have the latest set lists available?

Trying to figure out if this is a good solution .. I know the new director is a bit old school, so trying to come up with a solution that is easy on him and still lets the teens feel like they are not "going backwards" by having to deal with paper vs the tablets they have been using for years (he has already stated wanting to stay with paper which I know the teens will see as a regression).

My situation has similarities to yours but is also a bit different.

Our church's IT guy has given us space on the church's Google Drive account. What I have to do is add each musician's email address so that they can access the 600 music score PDFs we are preparing.

As they are PDFs, at the start anyone (with access) can simply open any song on their mobile, so no apps, no cost, just using the church's wi-fi on a Sunday.

For those with the money and commitment, installing any music management app (on a mobile or table) gives each musician a way to organise the PDFs they choose to download.

For those who choose to follow my recommendation, installing MobileSheets gives them a big bonus: each month I do a backup from my iPad to the church's Google Drive so that anyone - and in time, hopefully, everyone - can restore this backup to MobileSheets on their device and instantly have all 600 songs organised into collections that would be instantly recognisable by our church's musicians. I keep my iPad up to date as I am the team leader in preparing the songs in PDFs, so it is an easy regular habit for me.

For those already using MobileSheets, I can either synchronise or share a list of this week's songs.

Hopefully, jtoon86, you can glean something useful from the way we work and discard that which will be of no use to you.
