[I’ve been searching through the forum, and although I see a few similar/related posts, the suggestions have seemed too complex and I’d like to ask a fresh question… forgive me!]
My hella-long choral PDFs come from all over the place, including IMSLP, and I don’t generally edit them separately to add bookmarks directly to the PDF before importing to MobileSheets. I tend to do most of my work on my iPad anyway.
When I navigate & add bookmarks to these scores in Mobilesheets, it’s a huge PITA to ensure that the page numbers match the PDF page numbers. I really don’t want page 1 to be the front cover of the score - page 1 might actually be page 8 in the PDF. I want to be able to navigate quickly to a specific page in the score while my choir director is yelling at us. Doing the math in my head isn’t great under pressure!
It seems like it shouldn’t be too complex from a coding standpoint to include a per-PDF option that permits us to to set page 1, on the page we designate as page 1. A tickbox or radio button & offset integer field in the score properties / in the add bookmark section could indicate the settings.
