E-Reader request
#1
Hi,

I've been using MS on my Samsung tablet for quite a while now, and it is wonderful !!

I'm playing a lot of outdoor gigs this summer so I purchased a used Boox Tab X 13.3 EReader for better readability in bright sunlight, and I purchased the EReader version of MS.

On my Samsung tablet I set the pages to vertical scrolling half pages.  On that tablet, when I press the foot pedal the page scrolls for roughly a second or 2 and my eyes can easily follow the music as it scrolls so I know where to continue playing.

On the EReader version the page instantly snaps to the the new position and I often struggle to figure out where I was in the music.

I understand that EReaders don't handle scrolling well, and I realize that as the EReader scrolls the music will pretty much be unreadable, but for my use that would not be a problem, since I can turn pages during rests or breaks.

So my request is - can you add a check box to allow scrolling like the tablet version does instead of the instant page turn ?

Thanks so much,

-Steve

Steve,

I might suggest changing the pedal action under Settings->Touch & Pedal Settings->Pedal Actions to "Scroll down or turn page if at bottom" and set the scroll amount to 50%. Then it should actually scroll the page instead of doing an instantaneous page turn.

This is pure genius !!

I did what you suggested, but I changed the percentage to 40% and set the speed to "Faster".  Then I did the same for the up pedal, but of course to scroll up.

I changed the Up pedal because sometimes I misjudge when I hit the down pedal and overshoot where I want to be.  By setting the UP pedal as I did, if I overshoot I simply hit the page up pedal and I'm back to where I started.

Everything works as I want it to now.

I thought I knew MS pretty well, but I never knew about these settings.

Thanks so much for a reply on a Sunday, in fact on Mothers day !!
