Hello,
I think it would be very useful to have some annotation management and browsing features, namely:

1. The possibility to easily find songs/files containing notes or annotations (for example through “additional filters”).
   
2. Within a song/file, buttons to browse annotations (i.e. previous/next page with annotation in the document). For example, imagine a book of piano sonatas with 250 pages, where the first annotation appears on page 45: I would like to be able to jump directly to the page containing first annotation instead of manually checking each page.
   

I have read the user guide but could not find a proper way to handle these cases. Perhaps these features are already available and I missed them.
Is there any workaround?

The best (?) approach to handle a 250 page pdf is probably to create a .csv file containing the name of the sonatas and the pages they use.

Importing the pdf along with it's csv file creates individual song entries pointing into a single physical file, These entries can then be put in setlists or collections. Please note that you can't associate a csv file with a pdf that has already been imported; the csv file is only used when the file is imported and is not referenced after that.

There are several csv files on the forum already; if you are lucky someone might have already created one for your book (search the forum for CSVfile (?)). The format of the csv file is quite fiddly so use one of these files to show how it should be laid out. I believe there is also a tuition video on the forum showing how to use a csv file.

Using a csv file is not going to identify which of the songs have annotations!

Thanks Geoff, but this is not really the point: I am not having any problems handling or splitting large books.
As an alternative “best” approach, I usually insert hyperlinks in the thematic index at the beginning of the score. After decades of working with physical piano books, this workflow is perfectly fine for me. CSV-based management may suit other users better, but in my case that is not the issue.
In any case, we are going a bit off topic here.

The point I am raising is specifically annotation management/browsing, which is unrelated to splitting the PDF into separate songs. What I am looking for is a way to:

• quickly identify files containing annotations;
  
• jump directly between annotations within the same document.

I've certainly gotten requests on the forums to address both of those, so they are on my list. I'm just not sure yet when I'll work on them among all the other feature requests.
