Is there another way to update mobile sheets to 3.9.38 on Fire  HD 10 5th generation running Fire OS 5.7.0.0   The update is not showing up in App Store even after force stop catche and data clears  numerous reboots of the tablet  never had an issue with updates until the current update

So you are stuck on the older version unfortunately. Version 3.9.40 is actually the latest version.
