I created a Chordpro file with bar lines in the chord which works great ie. the bar line inside the chord is displayed properly before the chord:

[|C] this is  [|F] a test  will show up as followed

|C      |F
 This is a test

But after I transpose the sheet to another key for example to Key D, all the bar line disappeared from the song sheet and it will show up as followed

D     G
This is a test

Can this be corrected.

I have specific handling for chords starting with |, but this did not extend to transposing, so I've fixed that now for the next update.

[|C] and [|F] are not valid chords. Valid chords have to start with the root note, see https://www.chordpro.org/beta/chordpro-chords/
The ChordPro reference implementation reports these as invalid and doesn't transpose them.
   
To get what you want use 
[|][C] this is  [|][F] a test
