How might I add a coloured divider in a setlist?
#1
I want to visually divide a setlist into eg 3 sets. Placeholder do the trick but for added points, can I edit anything so that the placeholder presents as a coloured strip in the setlist?

I use a fairly complicated format for my songs titles (Title - Artist - Key then instrument, BPM, duration and release date) so the Set list dividers show up quite well, but there isn't a way of overriding the song entry colour (AFAIK).

I'd suggest it as the case I have is that I'd like to highlight instrument changes (I may use 3 different guitars when I am doing a big gig).

Right... the relative lack of detail makes the divider stand out. You've given me an idea... eg name the divider

******* Set 1 ******

Someone previously posted that you can put emojis in an entry name.
I did try it once to see if it worked (but don't use it now.)
No idea what the syncing mechanism would do if it met an emoji so probably best avoided

You could use "          Set 1" - MS honours spaces at the start of a set list name so I don't see why it shouldn't on song names

I use ...
- - - - - - - 1 - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - 2 - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - 3 - - - - - - -
... as required.

Actually, being able to assign a colour to songs in a setlist could be a good way of quickly seeing things like changes of instrument for example.

That is a feature request I've gotten quite a lot (adding an ability to color song titles), so it's higher on the list when time allows. Adding dividers in setlists has also come up quite a bit previously, so I do plan for that too, as it can helpful for the calculated audio durations (as each section will then have a different calculated duration).
